Regarding Matthew Abe's suggestion to post Twin Cities sites:
I would suggest the U of MN campus a short ride from downtown. The Weismann Art
Museum opened up this year on the East bank campus, facing the Mississippi
river. The architecture of the building is a lot of curvy stainless steel, not
square. It looks like MC Escher conceived it. I've been too busy to visit so
far, even though it's right on campus.
For anyone interested in alternative rock music, check out Northern Lights Music
on 7th and Hennepin. Let It Be Records on 10th and Nicollet. In addition, there
are several alternative dance nightclubs in the area. The First Avenue is next
door to Northern Lights on Seventh St. and First Ave.
