Subject:Help me obtain a title! :) From:David A Lowe <29215 -at- EF -dot- GC -dot- MARICOPA -dot- EDU> Date:Fri, 17 Jun 1994 08:45:24 -0700
Hello all! I need some help.
My boss has seen a few job titles floating around. She needs to assign me
a title and have titles available for new hires. (Currently, I have the title
of "Coordinator."
I write procedures, online documentation, and customer information manuals.
Is there a better title than technical writer or technical communicator?
I've seen Information Developer...what is that? What about Documentation
Specialist, Information Specialist, and so on?
Please tell me all of the titles available and brief job descriptions. (We
have to justify it to Human Resources.) I like technical writer or technical
communicator, but my boss wants information on the other titles.
Also, we have national salary averages for technical writers. We also have
a couple of desktop publishers. Does anybody have national salary averages
for desktop publishers?
Thanks in advance. You can email me privately if you don't want to clutter
the list.
Write on,
Dave
