Subject:Summary of Title and Salary Query From:David A Lowe <29215 -at- EF -dot- GC -dot- MARICOPA -dot- EDU> Date:Thu, 23 Jun 1994 12:00:23 -0700
Here is what I found out from my title and salary query:
My boss has decided on the title Information Developer.
After that, she preferred Technical Communicator and then Technical Writer.
Many people said to avoid any title with the words "specialist" or
"coordinator" in them. HR Departments usually view titles like that as just
a step above clerical. Boy, do we really have to educate people!
I called STC. They will be printing salary averages and the like in the
upcoming issue of Intercom. They told me to look for it a few weeks into
July.
Thanks to all who responded!
