I have just tested to print a 8.5 x 11 (with wide margins) to A4 paper.
Result:
When I started to print, I got a message on the MAC, saying that the
document is to big, but I was allowed to print anyway.
The printed sheet (letter) is OK.
Maybe if you are using very small margins, you will have a problem, if not,
just print it in A4.
