My favorite is the French (surprise, surprise) "Zut, alors!" which although
dirty, is acceptable in any company. (pronounced "zoot, ah-lor", the "oo"
as in the English "zoo") Be sure to say the first word with real feeling &
emphasis--it's quite satisfying! ;)
