Subject:GPF problems in Word From:LaVonna Funkhouser <lffunkhouser -at- HALNET -dot- COM> Date:Mon, 26 Sep 1994 15:28:41 -0500
Forgive me for posting a software problem.
Situation:
The programmer wrote a spec document in Word 2 off
of a network. When he was creating it, he had lots of
GPFs.
I open the document in Word 6 and start to edit it. Every
so often, a simple backspace will cause a whole line to be
deleted. "Undo" causes several words to be repeated and
gives me a GPF that throws me out of Word.
My guess was that the problem was associated with Fast Save,
so I ensured that the feature was off. The programmer doesn't
know if he had Fast Save on when he created the document.
Please tell me how to prevent any more GPFs. I've never had
these problems in any other document.
