I believe that Word6 provides an option for turning off "smart"
selection. I like it most of the time. But, there have been a few
times that it was annoying.

While I'm venting on this theme, I find Word6's "smart" selection behavior
almost unbearable. It's always thwarting me by doing what it "thinks" I
