Received a mailer from the National Research Council, Canada, this week. It
starts:
"In your quest for scientific, technical and medical documentation, do you
ever... retrieve Russian, Spanish, Japanese or other foreign language
references and need to know if an English translation is available? [also
mentions tracking down wrong citations, verification of journals, etc.]
"CISTI, the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information, is North
America's premier source for sci/tech information. Not only is CISTI known to
have one of the world's most comprehensive sci/tech collections, but it is also
recognized for its professional expertise pertaining to the world's scientific
literature." [U.S. Library of Congress has a similar system but they don't
advertise much.]
