Thank you for the sympathy and advice.
Fortunately, kind folks have offered to send me duplicates of the digest
issues that disappeared. And friends have resent the personal messages. All
that's still missing (besides three weeks worth of work) are the replies to
my list of questions about videotapes of STC meetings. Any merciful souls
out there feel like resending their survey responses? There were 6 or 7 fat
files and a bunch of thinner ones.
