* For my figure titles, I use the following format:
Figure 1-3: Category Maintenance Program
When I generate cross-references to the figure number, I
get something that looks like this:
The CMP main window, shown in Figure 1-3:, is...
(I don't particularly like the colon after the figure name.)
I could add the colon to the body of the figure title, not the
autonumbered text. If I do that, however, references to the
figure name will look like this:
Please refer to Figure 1-3, ": CMP main window."
(I like the colon even less there!)
How do you format your figure titles, and how do you format your
cross-references to those figure titles?
