Another good preparation device I can recall from teacher training
days (oh, so long ago!) is the use of a video. Tape yourself rehearsing
and try to see your presentation through the eyes of your audience.
(note: this can be a humbling experience!). [It's a good "review/check"
for presentationsas well as written material.] You can check out the
whole ball o' wax this way -- including audio levels, charts, overheads,
props, as well as content and flow ...
