Resume vs. cv

In response to Mark Levinson's query re: resume vs cv:

In grad school (English, Ohio State Univ.), I was told to send a CV if
applying for an academic job and a RESUME if applying for a job in the
business world.  The structure and content of the documents differ
accordingly.  So neither term is *bad*.  But whereas everyone knows what
a resume is, a person who has not been to grad school and/or applied for
a job in academia may not be familiar with the term "cv."
