Talk about dredging up an old subject! But it *still* bothers
me. The tech writing profession as a whole has adopted the
chapter-based page numbering system almost without exception.
As far as I can tell, this is for our own convenience and to
H*** with the user.
Seems a little incongruous, doesn't it? We profess to be the
user advocate yet we cling to a page numbering system that
users hate.
Just a thought...
