Please Take Note:
This is an off-site assignment. Writer can work from their home
using their own equipment. Some travel to client site
(Central New Jersey) is expected. Travel allowance is built
into the hourly rate.
Job Description:
The candidate shall rewrite/update system security guides for
four (4) related products. Half of each guide is a generic
clone, and half is product-specific. The product-specific portions
must be updated to the current releases, and the generic portion
needs a total rewrite to be more clearly step-action-result oriented.
These guides presently exist in troff files. This requires meeting
with system developers to get information that may not always be
readily available in written form.
Required Qualifications:
1. Must have strong, proven technical writing and editing skills.
2. UNIX troff and workstation experience.
3. Ability to work with various product managers simultaneously.
4. Knowledge of FrameMaker is a plus.
