Douglas Thayer asked about software for creating demos. While I
haven't created any demos with it, I like Lotus's SmartCam for Windows
from a user's perspective.
SmartCam works much the way that the Windows macro recorder works. It
records a "movie" of screen images, including mouse actions and
keyboard strokes. Once the demo creator has finished recording, the
program compiles the "movie" into an executable, so the user does not
need a copy of the SmartCam program.
