Subject:"Doc Downsizing" & Third Party Manuals From:Jackie Campana <jcampana -at- ARCADA -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 19 Apr 1995 13:02:52 PDT
There is an article in "Infoworld" (April 17. 1995) by Kelly Conatser
on "Documentation Downsizing" on page 55. It discusses the emerging
trend to replace hard-copy documentation with on-line docs and help
systems. The pros and cons of reducing or replacing hard-copy or
providing both hard-copy and on-line docs are considered.
Hmm, gives an explanation for publishers providing third-party manuals
to "fill the gap."
