I have just returned to the office after an extended travel period
which included the 42nd Annual STC Conference in DC.
I'm sorry I didn't stop by to get a Techwr-L button. I got caught up
in the tourist thing.
I did go to the First Timers' Session where newbies were encouraged to
volunteer for something they really cared about.
So I did.
Beginning with the Fall issue, I will be the editor of the
International Technical Communication Professional Interest Committee
(ITC PIC) newsletter Global Talk.
I also had the opportunity to meet our list owner, Eric Ray.
Eric gave a superb presentation on the World Wide Web.
Congratulations Eric!
I enjoyed the conference so much that I am going to submit a proposal
and try to be a presenter at next year's conference.
See ya'll in Seattle!
