Subject:Flesch Readability Index From:Michael Uhl <uhl -at- VISLAB -dot- EPA -dot- GOV> Date:Mon, 15 May 1995 13:33:45 -0400
Fellow Techwrl-ers:
My sister-in-law is looking for a utilitity or application that can
read text and calculate the Flesch (sp?) readability indes for that
text. I guess this index is similar to the FOG index. The output is
a grade-leave assigned to the text, for example, 8th grade reading level.
Do any of you know of a program that will input text and print out a
detailed analysis/explanation and grade-level assignment according to the
rules of the Flesch Index?
TIA
-Mike
