I am posting this in response to the eMail I received concerning
my problem with FM4 documentation:

The answer to the problem has to do with SMART (!?!?! emphasis mine)
Spaces. Smart Spaces are NOT cross-referenced in the FM4 manual and
_The Frame Handbook_, since it largely follows the FM4 layout and
structure, omits it also. The Smart Spaces switch is under Format
Document in a Frame document. Click them on, click them off. Very
easy. Finding them is another matter.
