Sheesh. For every reply I received to my question, "What is OED?" I got
another like this:

So, for all those who missed it (is there a FAQ for this list???), "OED" =
Oxford English Dictionary, generally considered to be "THE" manual/bible for
the English language. All 22/24 (I've seen both numbers) full volumes of it.
Time to pick up that new bookshelf I've been wanting...
