Re: Converting IBM's Script to something else

A few years back, Frame Technologies was experimenting with a conversion
program for BookMaster (Script's big brother). You could contact them and
see what they have to offer.

Also, with a bit of programming, you should be able to write a program or a
big macro to take care of it.

HOWEVER, if you have access to an IBM system that has PUBS (ProcessMaster)
on it, you can process the file for printing to a 3270 printer; BUT send the
result to a file, not the printer; and download the resulting file as an
ASCII file. I have done it many times. It works.

If you try this last and have problems with it, I would be glad to discuss
it with you privately.

I also agree with an earlier comment. Why move this Script document to a
word processor? I would upgrade the file to BookMaster (usually not
difficult) in order to take advantage of the tremendous capabilities
BookMaster offers for large publications. BookMaster can handle huge
documents with lots of graphics. It's portable as ASCII text. It's a great
program if you have the equipment that will run it.
