You happen to have hit one of my pet annoyances. I strongly prefer the term
"diskette" or "flexible diskette" to "floppy disk." This is not because of
the sexual connotation, although I have seen the "s" in "floppy disk"
inadvertantly replaced by another letter.

It just seems colloquial. Besides, the most popular kind have rigid plastic
cases, so their flexibility is not apparent to most users. ...RM
