I'm surprised that someone said that the editor who used "things" was
correct. Why would the editor feel he/she had to use "things" in
order to make the sentence complete? Look at the sentence that the
editor rewrote.

> mail messages:
> - Created ...
> - Moved ...
The editor could have deleted "things." It's just a waste of space.
