Did
you have to slam him for not being original and thereby discourage him
from ever posting again?
If what little I said discourages him from ever posting again, he'd never last a
week anyway, so no loss. On the other hand, if it motivates him to stick it to
me by posting his own thoughts and ideas, rather than some old doggerel he's
found hiding under some wilted lettuce and caked with congealed oatmeal, it will
be a gain, not only for him but for us all.
When the rest of us saw it, we let it go. Why
couldn't you do the same?
Who knows? Perhaps my expectations are higher? You never get another chance at a
first post. To waste it on doggerel from someone else's pen would be like a
congressman standing up to give his maiden speech, and reading Bryan's "Cross of
Gold" speech. Great rhetoric. Thundering oratory. And a complete waste of time
for all concerned. Better would have been a question. Better still would have
been an answer. Worse? Well, perhaps if he'd quoted Rush Limbaugh. ;{>}
Have fun,
