Scott Adams was removed from his engineering job at
Pacific Bell yesterday due to "budget constraints."
He had been employed there nine years and just
acquired a new boss.
I wonder if he will reflect this event in Dilbert.

No doubt. Though Scott, himself, has said that he didn't really
need the job (since Dilbert is doing so well); he kept it just
for the fodder it provides for the strip. I wouldn't doubt that
he volunteered to be the first to go if this situation ever
occurred...
