'Lexical order' might work if what is meant is 'dictionary order'. But
if this is so then 'dictionary order' is better still.
I think the obvious conclusion from all the answers to Sue's question
is that there isn't a single unambiguous term. She'll have to explain
it somewhere in more detail.
"nodes/templates are listed in lexicographical order. This means that
they appear in the same order as they would in a dictionary -- for
example 'BASIC' appears after 'basic' and before 'basic English'" (or
whatever).
