I'm having problems printing a document in Word 6. It's a 44-page, 409 K
document in Russian (the translator didn't have Ventura, our standard DTP
package) and I'm using Russian Windows. I have a Pentium P90 with 32MB RAM
and a 1GB hard drive, and am attempting to print to a QMS 1725 printer via
our network.
The problem is I can't print more than a few pages without incurring a GPF.
Sometimes I get an error message telling me to install a printer. I have
rebooted, deleted all the .TMP files and defragmented and optimized my hard
drive and still get these errors. Ironically, I can print the complete
document in Word 2, but then lose a lot of the formatting.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem? It's a 44 page document and I
have to get 2 camera-ready copies done ASAP. Could this be a permanent/swap
memory problem? Or a Word6 setting? Any ideas appreciated.
