sponsoring an indexing skills workshop for technical writers on Saturday,
October 14, 1995, from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Place: Columbia/HCA Information
Services, Inc. Data Center, 2555 Park Plaza,Nashville, Tennessee.
Creating a Great Index will examine the qualities of a good index and
teach writers how to evaluate their indexes for usability and retrievability.
The instructor is Lori Lathrop of Lathrop Media Services, author of An
Indexer's Guide to the Internet. Fees are $25 - members, $35 -nonmembers, and
$15 - students.
