Your observation may not have been totally off topic, Thomas, but it
was off topic enough. The truly polite thing for list subscribers to
do would be to avoid even the suggestion of developing this kind of
tangential discussion. Emily Post or Miss Manners will say it sooner
or later. You're confusing netiquette with etiquette.
