Way to go, Mr. Maloney!
I'm no graphics designer or illustrator, but I am the manager of a newly
formed group within STC called the Visual Communication PIC. We formed partly
because there is little formal recognition within STC for the skills of
people like you. And partly because our members (illustrators, graphic
designers, video producers, writers, editors, etc) believe that communication
today MUST become more visual to meet a more sophisticated public. We also
formed so that people like me can learn more about visual information design
from experts like you.
I do hope that we can form a partnership with your group ISTI, and I welcome
any visual communicators to join our PIC (if you're not a member of STC,
you'd have to join STC to join our group). Please let me know if you're
interested.
