About Joann T. Hackos . . . .
JoAnn Hackos is president of Comtech Services, Inc., an information design
firm in Denver, Colorado and San Jose, California, which she founded in 1978.
At Comtech, Dr. Hackos manages a team of project managers, writers, and
editors in conducting design and development projects for companies throughout
the U.S. and internationally.
Dr. Hackos holds a Ph.D. from Indian University. She is nationally
recognized as an expert on document design and management. Her latest book,
Managing Documentation Projects, is available from John Wiley and Sons.
Dr. Hackos was President of the International Society for Technical
Communications (STC) from 1992 - 1993.
