Kilobytes and Request for a Good Computer Style Guide
Subject:Kilobytes and Request for a Good Computer Style Guide From:Tina Kreminski <Tina_Kreminski_at_Micro__Industries -at- MICROIND -dot- COM> Date:Thu, 15 Feb 1996 16:57:04 EST
As a relatively new practitioner and a brand new subscriber
to the list, I followed the k vs. K discussion with interest
last week. However, I still have a usage question.
What is the standard for referencing memory? My options, as
I see them, are:
128KB
128kb
128Kb (This is preferred by our engineers.)
128K bytes (This is what my predecessor used.)
128K-bytes (This is used in Intel's literature.)
In addition, I would like to know if there is a style
"bible" for the computer industry?
Thanks in advance for your collective help. Please respond
to ckremins -at- microind -dot- com regarding the kilobyte question.
