Technical Writer
Description:
Creating hardware installation guides and user manuals. Coordinating a variety of projects.
Qualifications:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT/COORDINATION EXPERIENCE A MUST.
Writer with a minimum of 4 years experience producing documentation for software and hardware products. Self motivated. Must have editing skills. Must be able to write for a non-technical audience.
On site in North County San Diego (Carlsbad).
Full time, regular position.
Salary range $33K to $38K a year.
Technical Writer
Responsibilities include developing user and service manuals, both
hardware and software for automated fluid dispensing systems used in
electronic packaging industry. Writer will learn the basics of how to
use dispensing
systems and how service is performed. Work under minimal supervision
and work with marketing, engineering and production staff.
Qualifications:
*4-year degree in technical writing, journalism, communications or a
technical discipline.
*3+ years experience writing technical information for hardware and
software.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Basic laboratory, electrical and mechanical skills and experience for
simple assembly, disassembly and
connection of equipment.
*Work knowledge of a word processing software (prefer Windows/PC-based)
and graphics importing.
Experience with Word 6.0, CorelDraw, developing training materials
based on manuals, online documentation, graphics importing, OLE, LAN,
and engineering or other technical degree/experience a PLUS.
