Subject:Need for new paradigm/toolset From:"tina (c.l.) klein" <cklein -at- BNR -dot- CA> Date:Mon, 25 Mar 1996 07:32:00 -0500
I have been stewing on Chet's mail for a few days.
Yes, I need a new paradigm. It's fundamentally a matter
of organization. I know how to organize my projects,
my personal library, the time that I spend as a Girl
Guide leader, a bill of materials, my personal finances,
etc. It's time to extend the thinking.
(Notice the personal shift from IDEAS to rambling OPINIONS
--- Tim you are a bad influence and I think we should shun
you from this list....)
I know how to organize: words, paragraphs, pages, documents,
and suites of documents. I need to think instead in
terms of modules and custom-built "encyclopedias".
I need to store modules not chapters. And I need to change
my pre-pub checklist to include "assemble components".
Maybe this becomes so simple that it gets contracted out.
Maybe it's done in the virtual warehouse...
