Wilsonville Oregon, has an opening for a WWW Developer in its

Job Description:

You will be part of the team that is responsible for developing
and maintaining the Tektronix WWW site. The Tektronix WWW site was selected
by the readers of EE Times-Interactive as one of the best engineering
sites on the Internet for 1995.

Major Responsibilities:

--Coordinate WWW development activities with the implementation team
  to meet deadlines and best use available resources
--Work with Product Marketing to develop and implement on-line
  interactive marketing programs for the Tektronix WWW site
--Advise internal customers on online marketing techniques so they can use
  the Tektronix WWW site as an integral part of product marketing
--Investigate and develop multimedia applications for product marketing

Skills Required:
(Loose Translation)

--Authoring experience with HTML, including CGI scripts
  (Love to code HTML in EMACS, Vi, or BBEdit)
--Experienced in Unix, PC and Macintosh environments
  (You've worked on more than one computer platform in your life)
--Well developed written and oral communications skills
  (You understand technobabble and marketing-speak)
--Ability to write rigorous software specifications
  (Describe what you want in English that suits can understand)
--Familiarity with interactive WWW applications
  (Know what CGI, Java, Shockwave, Amber, Perl, Server Push/
   Client Pull, and VRML mean)

Desired Skills:

--Experience in Product Marketing
--Experience in Marketing Communications


Requirements Include:

-- Bachelor's degree (Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science,
   Technical Communications or Marketing preferred)

Location of Job:

Beaverton, Oregon (in the Portland metropolitan area)
