I haven't seen that particular problem before. I -have- had other
problems with Word's Master document feature, though, and have gotten good
advice from other users through a newsgroup and a couple of mailing lists
devoted to MSWord issues.
I'm not in my office at the moment, so I can't check my archives for the
name of the Word newsgroup or the subscription info for the Word listservs.
