I believe that writing web pages is a good assignment for the following
reasons:
they still have to analyse information, and structure it
they get the idea that you have to learn new tools a lot
they learn that presentation and colour are important and can be stuffed
up easily
they learn techniques for writing concisely
they have to analyse why someone would use the information and learn to
make people WANT to use /access it
