Wanted: API Writer

$5,000 Signing Bonus.

ViewSoft Inc., a client-server application development company
for the Internet has an immediate need for a technical writer
with API experience.

We pay a competitive wage and grant generous stock options.

In this position you will work as a lead on one or more projects
as well as support other technical writers with their projects.
The position will require interaction with software developers,
testing, and customer service.

Required Skills:
· Bachelor?s degree in a field related to communication or
  software; or bachelor?s degree in any field with significant
  writing or editing experience; or two years of relevant work
  experience.
· Good technical skills.
· Good language skills (writing, editing, grammar).
· Good typing skills.

Preferred Skills:
· Experience writing software documentation.
· Advanced or specialized education in writing, editing,
  instructional design, or computer science.
· Experience producing printed, online, or HTML documentation.
· Knowledge of RoboHelp (or equivalent).
· Working knowledge of C++

This is a ground-floor position in a start-up company.  The
ideal candidate will join an existing small writing team.  The
company has just shipped a product and is well under way with
the development cycle for the next major revision.
