STC Conference general advice:
(Techwr-l folks have submitted some good conference-going
advice lists in past years, but I think I've lost mine. I'll
collect them if you all want to make one again.)
One bit of advice I like to abide by is this: Unless it is
what you truly want, don't ever eat alone. It is just too
easy to join up with a group who is going somewhere. You'll
make new friends and get a new perspective on things!
