Subject:Graphics in CD ROM-published Frame docs From:"Sarah T. Harris" <STH -at- ALPHA -dot- SUNQUEST -dot- COM> Date:Mon, 6 May 1996 09:29:17 -0700
Greetings techwhirlers.
We are publishing our library of Frame-authored
documents on CD ROM. In quality-testing the books,
we find differences in the speed at which the
graphics display (redraw) on different DOS systems.
Usually it's an unacceptably slow rate.
The books contain a mix of eps, wmf, and bmp files.
Our customers will view the documents via FrameReader.
My questions:
1. What graphics file format are you using in Frame
for CD ROM publishing?
2. What's the optimal file format for online publishing?
3. Should I expect more consistent performance, or will
varying print drivers inevitably display at different rates?
Thanks for any advice you can provide,
Sarah Harris -- sth -at- alpha -dot- sunquest -dot- com
