Subject:Advertising in manuals From:Ellen Hladky <Ellen_Hladky/CHEYENNE_SOFTWARE -dot- CHEYENNE_SOFTWARE -at- SMTPGATE -dot- CHEYENNE -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 8 May 1996 09:46:35 -0500
The company I work for is looking to advertise our product line on the back
cover (or possibly inside cover) of our manuals.
Before we do this, we are curious if anyone else does this (or something
similar).
If you have done this, or know of a manual that does, please email me and let
me know which company and which manual(s), where the advertising appears
(inside or outside), whether the advertising was for their own product line or
another company, how it looked, etc.
While I'm not overly fond of advertising, I believe something like this could
actually add value to the books ("why print manuals, nobody reads them").
Please let me know what you think!
