Not all mail programs are created equal.
My email program truncates messages longer than
about 200 lines of text. I absolutely loose all content
after that. I cannot even save the digest to an ASCII
file to get to the additional postings.
Besides, my mail program provides good search tools
for messages by subject, date, sender, etc. I CANNOT
do that with a digest. For me, individual postings work
best.
