I don't mean to pick on Maurice or his posting, but the language opened a
question in my mind.

There has been much discussion here about the validity of seeking out a tool
specialist in preference to a skilled generalist. No consensus has emerged,
it seems to me, but there are a good many people willing to argue for the
generalist (perhaps because they are generalists themselves).

However, I've seen more listings than I can count saying "RoboHelp" writer
needed, when developing help is actually less tool-dependent than DTP is.
I'd like especially to hear from colleagues who actually feel that
experience on a help tool is necessary to do the job. Naturally, some
experience on a help tool is preferable, but how important is YOUR tool to
the performance of the job?
