>If it's any consolation, I don't think any drawing package does diddly saving
as bitmaps, but then they're not expected to, are they? Drawing packages
specialize in drawings, not bitmap graphics. Their forte' is described
graphics, not mapped ones. It's always harsh trying to go from vector to
bitmap. The best solution is to stick with paint packages for bitmaps and leave
Corel and its competitors to the vector arena in which they perform so well. I
like Corel there. I've used it extensively for mechanical representations. But
for bitmaps it's a great video game.<
I beg to disagree with Tim. I've never had trouble with programs accepting
bitmaps exported by CD3. I use CD3 as the first stage of a bitmap -- it's a
hell of a lot easier to experiment with composition and layout there than in
the bitmap editors I have here. Then I use bitmap editors for what *they* do
best (working with color, textures, filtering, etc).
I *have* had a ton of problems getting programs to accept WMFs, regardless of
source program. Well, I gotta amend that. The *only* program I've been able to
reliably pull a WMF into is ... CD3. What's your secret?
