My opinion:
If the subject and/or audience is mathematics or software-related,
then the word function has other, specific meanings and can be=20
ambiguous when referring to a capability to perform a function.
Functionality, which is in my on-line dictionary, can be more
specific, but I would use it only if I tried function and =
capability=20
first.=20
