As an undergraduate taking maths (I think it was the first lecture on the
first day) our lecturer, demonstrating the width of the concept of a
mathematical function started to undo his flies, looked up and noticed that
we weren't a unisex audience, but the point was successfully made.
I too have attended military lectures "enlivened" by pictures too hot for
page 3. But that was when the British army was unisex.
