I don't know if managerial skills are a prerequisite for a senior tech writer
title or position. I know several senior writers who definitely don't possess
any managerial or leadership skills whatsoever. I think that knowledge and
experience make you a senior tech writer. If you don't feel comfortable putting
senior tech writer on your resume... don't.
