Wellcome aboard!
To answer your questions:
1. YOU BET. I am in the process right now of moving our company to info mapping. Myself and the other
tech writer on our team are designing info mapping-based templates for all of our reference deliverables. We
have plans to redesign our marketing materials based on IMAP principles too, and all of the artifacts from our
SEI improvement effors will be IMAP'ped too.
We really have caused a (lookout... jargon ahead) paradigm shift away from the 1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 documents that
causes a great deal of confusion among readers. Our software developers still kind of look at us funny when we
tell them, "you don't have to number a paragraph, because these aren't paragraphs... their blocks!"
2. So far our customers love it. We've received many positive reviews.
3. Nope. Coulndn't imagine that happening here. We're too small and effective for something like that to happen.
good luck!

Subject: Information Mapping
Good Afternoon Fellow Tech Writers,
I am a new subscriber, so please forgive me if you've discussed this topic
already. I have a few questions regarding Information Mapping...
1) Does anyone use Information Mapping as their company standard for technical
documentation?
2) If so, how do your customers like it?
3) Has your company ever rejected Information Mapping as their standard, and
if so, why?
I appreciate your input. Have a wonderful day :)
