Colleagues,
Beware that small number of clients who will stiff you for the final
payment at the completion of the job. This happened to a computer
consultant friend of mine up East. He was fortunate that he had read a
book in which this type of client was profiled in advance of the
contract. He thought this particular client fit the printed profile.
He thus built in *four* payments, with the final installment being pure
profit he never expected to see. He didn't. See it, that is. The
client lived up to his profile and refused to make the final payment.
This doesn't happen often, but be prepared for those rare instances
when it does.
