This can be resolved using Adobe Catalog, which
creates searchable indexes of series of .PDF
files. You could theoretically index your entire
CD_ROM worth of .PDF files into one searchable
index . You can also create links between .PDF
files using Acrobat Exchange (.PDF editor),
allowing you to create links both within the
file, as well as to other files.

My opinions are mine, not the company's. If they
want to share them, that's fine. If they don't,
that's fine, too.
